    Motorcyclist injured during 22 Freeway crash in Garden Grove
    A motorcyclist in his 60s was seriously injured Thursday in a three-vehicle crash on the 22 Freeway in Garden Grove.
    The crash on the eastbound portion of the freeway near Fairview Street occurred shortly after 5 p.m., said Garden Grove Fire Department Capt. Thanh Nguyen.
    “Garden Grove firefighters used heavy rescue tools to lift the vehicle off the motorist,” Nguyen said. “It took crews approximately 15 minutes to get to the patient.”

    U.S. consumers have record-high desires to buy a home, says one slice of a consumer confidence survey.
    The Conference Board’s monthly survey of shopper optimism found 7.8 percent of American consumers in April expect to be homebuyers within the next six months.
