  • Motorcyclist dies after crash with car in Fullerton

    A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday morning, April 17, after colliding with a car in Fullerton.
    Police got a call of motorcyclist down at West Orangethorpe and South Courtney avenues and found the man with serious injuries laying in a lane,  Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus said.
    “Officers immediately began conducting CPR,” Radus said. Fullerton firefighters arrived and continued to treat the man and took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:07 a.m.

    Americans who waited until the last day to pay their taxes online got an unwelcome surprise: The IRS website to make payments and access other key services is down.

    Just in time for tax day: the IRS website to make payments is down.
    The IRS did not have an immediate explanation for the failure. But it said on its website that its online payment system became unavailable at 2:50 A.M. ET on Tuesday.

  • Big rig crash closes lanes of 5 Freeway in Buena Park

    BUENA PARK — A three-vehicle crash involving an overturned big rig blocked three southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Buena Park today.
    The crash occurred about 5:40 a.m. near Beach Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. Some oil leaked from the big rig, and crews were sent to handle the cleanup.
    There were no immediate reports of injuries.

    GARDEN GROVE – Ten residents were displaced from their homes after a fire spread through four attached garages in an apartment complex Monday night, April 16.
    The residents at 13141 Casa Linda Lane were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived, said Capt. Thanh Nguyen of the Garden Grove Fire Department.
