    Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t waste his first chance to make a lasting impression in his new city.
    In 20 minutes, Ibrahimovic scored the tying and winning goals as the Galaxy rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat LAFC.
    The goals, especially his 40-yard dagger, was seen around the world and running on repeat all over social media.

    Joey Daniel had a fine collection of medals and trophies as he neared the end of his wrestling career for Santa Ana High.
    Fine, yes, but incomplete.
    The senior did not have a CIF State wrestling championship among the hardware.
    Daniel filled that void in early March when he won the CIF State title at 220 pounds. He already had won the CIF-Southern Section’s Coastal Division championship, and had won CIF-SS, Masters and league championships in previous seasons.

  • 2-year-old child rescued after nearly drowning in Rancho Santa Margarita swimming pool

    RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA – A 2-year-old child was rescued by a family member after nearly drowning when the child fell into a backyard swimming pool, authorities said.
    The near-drowning occurred on Friday, April 6 at a home in the 32000 block of Lomita Drive, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
    The child was taken to a hospital. No further details were immediately available.
