    A convicted child molester was re-sentenced Friday to 25 years to life in prison for sodomizing a 3-year-old relative in a case that sparked public outrage after a judge originally handed down a lighter sentence.

    ANAHEIM — There remain things for the Ducks to play for in their final two games of the regular season and there are ways to go about playing them.
    A playoff spot has been locked up, but they’re not seeing Friday’s home finale against Dallas and Saturday’s season-ending game at Arizona as meaningless.   • Suspect arrested in serial arson cases around Mission Viejo

    A suspect has been arrested in a rash of serial arson cases in Mission Viejo over the last week, authorities said.
    The suspect, identified as Jack Frye, 19 of Lake Forest, is being held on suspicion of six counts of arson and one count of attempted arson, including two trash can fires at Mission Viejo High School that cost the school an estimated $3,000 in damage.
