  • Robots battle in regional competition hosted at UCI

    The competitors were agile, quick and accurate, and they didn’t waste time on a lot of trash talk.
    They weren’t coded for that.
    More than 50 teams of students brought the robots they built and programmed to the FIRST Robotics Orange County Regional hosted at UCI’s Bren Events Center from March 21 to 24.
    The students were able to practice on the competition field in the first days of the regional, fine turning their robots. A machine shop was open to the teams.

    California signed up an estimated 450,000 people under Medicaid expansion who may not have been eligible for coverage, according to a report by the U.S. Health and Human Services’ chief watchdog.

    FULLERTON – The intersection of Brookhurst Street and Valencia Drive was closed Tuesday morning, March 27, after a fatal crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian, according to police.
