    A woman was fatally injured in what police called a vehicle versus pedestrian collision Saturday night in Los Alamitos.

    COSTA MESA — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 19th Street and Monrovia Avenue the evening of Saturday, Feb. 24, police said.
    The collision was reported at about 6:40 p.m. and the injured pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, but was expected to survive, officials said.

  • O.C. man rides horse on a Long Beach freeway, is arrested on suspicion of DUI

    LONG BEACH — A Placentia man who rode a white horse on the 91 Freeway in Long Beach on his 29th birthday the morning of Saturday, Feb. 24, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, California Highway Patrol officials said.
