  Nearly one mile of University Drive in Irvine was closed Sunday morning, Feb. 4, while police investigated a 5 a.m. crash that left the driver with major injuries, police said.
  Police blockades were set up at Yale Avenue and Ridgeline Drive and Irvine police alerted at about 9 a.m. that it would be shuttered for “several hours.”
