    Big-screen TVs aren’t the only hot deals around as Black Friday stretches into the weekend.
    If your wish list leans more toward whiskers, fur and cuddling, head on over to one of the six Los Angeles City animal shelters where extended Black Friday discounts on adoption fees run through Sunday.
    Fees are being reduced from the usual maximum of $122 per dog to $63.50.

    ANAHEIM – A man was shot in the wrist during an attempted carjacking Thursday night, Nov. 23, according to authorities, but the suspect didn’t get his vehicle.
    Around 7 p.m., a 27-year-old man was in his automobile in a parking lot in the 1500 block of East La Palma Avenue when a gunman approached and demanded the vehicle, Anaheim Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
