PLAYA VISTA — Coach Doc Rivers said Friday he likes the Clippers’ pace of play so far this season. He’s not sure about the true value of NBA.com’s pace statistic, which is something entirely different from the actual speed of the game, although there are elements of that in determining a team’s number.
Pace, as defined by Rivers, is moving bodies and the ball around the court as efficiently as possible. Pace, as defined by NBA.com, is the number of possessions per g

That’s a fact you need to know about the garage punk band, Channel 3. Back in the day, their fans were creative and wild enough to go to the store, buy several trout and hurl them at the Cerritos High School officials who had allowed the recently graduated band to play in the quad.
Officials had to shut the gates of the school to keep non-student fanatics out. And still, when Channel 3 rocked Cerritos High School in 1981, fights broke out just for fun.
