    A police incident near the campus of Fountain Valley High School prompted the school to be placed on a lockdown Tuesday morning.
    Students and teachers were asked to remain in their second-period classrooms shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday in response to an incident on Talbert Avenue, the student newspaper reported.
    Westminster police were working an operation in the area, but would not provide further details about the nature of the investigation.

    The Orange County coroner’s office has released the name of two men who died early Monday morning, Oct. 30 in crashes on the 22 freeway in Garden Grove. One of the men died after his car hit a freeway wall near the Brookhurst Street off-ramp while the other died after he stopped to help and was struck by another vehicle.
    The victims are 42-year-old Santiago Sanjuan-Mancilla and 19-year-old Bryce Campo. Both were from Stanton. They were pronounced dead at the scene just before 2 a.m.,

    Dual power outages, including one caused by a traffic collision, left more than 1,600 Southern California Edison customers in west Orange County without power Monday evening, Oct. 30.
    In La Palma, 138 customers were without electricity after a car sheared a power pole around 6 p.m. near La Palma Avenue – where it turns into Del Amo Boulevard – and Bloomfield Avenue, officials for Southern California Edison and the Orange County Fire Authority said.
