    Former University freshman football coach Gene Molway remembered as one who inspired, prepared his players
    Gene Molway, a beloved former University freshman and assistant varsity football coach, was honored Friday night before the University vs. Woodbridge football game.
    Molway, 65, died on May 5, 2017, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, according to his long-time friend Mark Cunningham, head football coach at Uni. He was born on June 18, 1952.
    Molway was the head freshman football coach at University for 20 years and had been an assistant with Cunningham on the varsity in the late 1990s.
