    A warehouse storing battery backup systems in Orange sustained damage in a fire early Wednesday, according to authorities.
    The blaze at Intellipower Inc, 1746 North St. Thomas Circle, was reported around 3:45 a.m. said Orange Fire Department Capt. Ian MacDonald.

    Cal State Fullerton reaches record enrollment as applications hit all-time high
    More students enrolled at Cal State Fullerton this fall than ever before. That’s largely because an all-time-high number applied, according to the university — 79,209, up 3 percent for entering freshmen and transfer students.
    In all, 40,439 students are enrolled this fall compared with last year’s 40,235.
    Among first-time freshmen, the admit rate dropped to 45.7 percent from 48.2 percent a year earlier.

    That’s how Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball coach Dedrique Taylor assessed his team’s current state.
    “I don’t think we are in very good shape,” Taylor said. “We need to be sharper.”
