    A proposed 402-bed student-housing project at the historic Villa Park Orchards Association Packing House is expected to receive a decision Wednesday, July 26, the city staff said.
    The proposal arrived at the desk of Bill Crouch, the city’s community development director, after receiving approval from the Design Review Committee earlier this month.

    DANA POINT A boat salvage company is trying to save a 30-foot sailboat taking on water near the rocks at Salt Creek Beach, officials said.
    Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol got a call at 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 24, about the boat, which reportedly sailed from Dana Point Harbor, hit the beach and was in about three feet of water, Lt. Lane Lagaret said.
