• Cypress music teacher faces charges on suspicion of lewd acts on girls

  SANTA ANA – A music teacher was charged in Orange County Superior Court on Thursday, July 20 on suspicion of committing lewd and lascivious acts on two female students ages 5 and 6.
  Randal “Randy” Letcher Scott, 57, of Irvine was arrested Tuesday by Cypress police, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
  Scott faces 30 years to life in state prison if convicted of both counts of lewd acts and lifetime registration as a sex offender.

  The parents of a 3-year-old girl, who fell to her death at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim during a vacation to Disneyland , have filed a lawsuit against the hotel. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, Jesus Martinez Avila and Alejandra Sandoval Duran have filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court stating that negligence on the part of the owners and property managers of the Embassy Suites led to the death of their daughter.

  ORANGE — A five-car traffic collision on Wednesday night sent one person to a local hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

  The cause of death of a 57-year-old man found inside his Lake Forest home on Sunday afternoon is still unknown, the Orange County Coroners department said.
  Deputies were dispatched about 12:47 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, to the 19000 block of Cascade Drive and found a man dead inside the home.
