    Middle and high school students submitted paintings, graphics, photographs, ceramics and other media for the contest — sponsored by the Enderle Center as part of the heART of Orange County program.

    Sinclair Broadcast Group, one of the nation’s largest local TV station operators, wants to get even bigger. The company announced Monday that it will pay about $3.9 billion for Tribune Media, adding more than 40 stations including KTLA in Los Angeles, WPIX in New York and WGN in Chicago.

    A fire at a Westminster strip mall early Sunday, May 7, drew 25 firefighters, who extinguished it within 20 minutes.
    One firefighter at the scene experienced a medical emergency not directly related to fighting the fire, said Steve Dohman, a captain with Orange County Fire Authority.
