    NEWPORT BEACH — A bicyclist was injured after colliding with a Newport Beach police patrol vehicle Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
    The crash between the two happened along Newport Coast Drive and Provence, which leads into a residential complex. First responders who arrived shortly after the 4:05 p.m. Thursday, April 20, incident found an injured male bicyclist, said Jennifer Manzella, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department.
