  House leadership agreed to adopt an amendment to House Bill 261 on Monday, providing $83,000 to the state Supreme Court to cover an estimated shortfall of $82,600 in its current year budget. The bill also provides funds totaling $593,000 to court offices to cover costs like jury and witness fees.

• Board of Finance to consider emergency funding for New Mexico courts

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –The New Mexico Board of Finance is scheduled to hold a special meeting Wednesday to consider emergency funding to ensure the state’s court system doesn’t run out of money for jury trials.
