  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Stephen Casaus, 44, was sentenced to ten years in federal prison on Tuesday.
  He was convicted for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition charge.
  According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Casaus will serve this additional ten years in federal prison consecutively to the 39-years sentence he had in the case of nine-year-old Omaree Varela’s death in which he was convicted on state child abuse and drug trafficking charges.
