  BERNALILLO CO., N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies say a 12-year-old boy was killed over the weekend while attempting to ‘car-surf’ in the South Valley.
  It happened near Harrison Middle School around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. On Monday morning, a small memorial of candles, a pinwheel and balloons were placed in the school’s parking lot.

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Fire Department is on scene of a brush fire in Albuquerque.
  Crews are near Embudo Trail off Tramway and Indian School.
  It all started at about 1:15 Monday afternoon when firefighters were dispatched to the fire.
  AFD says the fire is about one acre. They also warn people that they may see smoke in the area.
  The Embudo trail is still open.
  The cause of the fire is being investigated.
