  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A police officer, a kidney donor, a youth worker and an activist are this year’s New Mexico True Heroes.
  The ceremony took place Friday at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
  The recipients are Rio Rancho Police Officer Chris Beck, Jenna Allen, Stephen Carter and Julie Benner.
  Since the death of her husband, Officer Gregg Benner, Julie Benner has dedicated herself to keeping violent criminals off the street and behind bars.

  Kirtland Elementary School as well as several other buildings along the west side of the base are currently being evacuated.
  Gibson has been shutdown in between Hickam and Carlisle.
