• DT offers free mobile internet to compensate router outage

  (Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom is offering customers a free mobile internet day pass to compensate for a large-scale disruption to its fixed internet services. Excisting DT mobile customers can activate the free pass online, while others need to visit a Telekom shop to receive the offer. • EAN conducts 1st tests of LTE satellite internet for planes

  (Telecompaper) The European Aviation Network (EAN), the first ground-to-air network for in-flight broadband services, has conducted its first test flights in the UK. The EAN is operated by satellite operator Inmarsat and its mobile network partner Deutsche Telekom, along with equipment suppliers Nokia and Thales.
