  Louisville (KY) police gave protesters 15 minutes to remove their tents from the Occupy ICE protest site in front of the downtown federal building.Nobody moved, so dozens of officers tore down the tents, and removed various objects — grills, sleeping bags, foam pads, and even toys — from encampment, dubbed Camp Compasión.Police said the removal of the objects was necessary to be in compliance with state law and the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to the Courier Jour

  A Baltimore police sergeant — 15-year-veteran Larry Worsley — has been charged with driving under the influence after police said he crashed a departmental vehicle earlier this month, according to the Baltimore Sun.A police spokesman said Worsley was off duty when his department-issued Dodge Charger struck several unoccupied parked vehicles in Northeast Baltimore.Worsley has been suspended with pay pending an internal investigation.

  Two Birmingham (AL) police officers were injured Thursday while pursuing a pair of carjacking suspects, according to Fox News.The officers were in separate patrol vehicles when one was hit head-on and the other was sideswiped, according to WBRC-TV."At one point, one of the suspects attempted to run over one of the officers," WBRC said in a report.Both officers are expected to recover.
