You should consider flying lessons and joining a local flying club, where you can learn more about flight and model aircraft. But yo

Last week, I mentioned a chat I had with my old friend Bethany Mayer, the CEO of Ixia, about a Scrum development process that substantially reduces time to market and improves quality. We also chatted about another subject: How to keep a founding CEO engaged post IPO once the firm moves beyond either their management skill set or interest. Ixia has implemented an interesting process here as well, and the end result has clearly been incredibly successful for the firm.  The problem with

In a blog post announcing the funding drive, Tor quotes Poitras saying that she never could have worked on and help break the Snowden story without Tor. Poitras worked with Glenn Greenwald on the initial revelations from documents leaked by forme

Higher wages is one of the things sought by Sanders, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, in his just-released immigration platform.
Higher prevailing wages is seen by critics of the H-1B program as a way to discourage businesses from using foreign labor to replace U.S. workers. "If there is a true labor shortage, employers must offer higher, not lower wages,

It doesn’t fit my workflow like my MacBook Air does, so I stopped trying to force it—and that’s OK. Apple’s newest largest tablet doesn’t need to be a laptop replacement to be good, but for a $300 premium over the cheapest iPad Air 2, it does need to deliver more than just a larger screen.

In today's cloud-centric world, we’re seeing an explosion in the number of servers under IT management. Virtual machines made servers cheap, and containers will push prices down further. As a result, businesses can afford to deploy a server for every new need, but they can no longer afford to manage servers individually. Your servers no longer garner individual attention but are simply soldiers in a huge resource pool, dutifully fulfilling the resource requests of the data center. To read
