  A construction director has been jailed for eight years and 10 months after pleading guilty to gross negligence manslaughter following the death of a labourer.
  Peter Clifford was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court this week following the fatality in Woodbridge in 2020.

• McAlpine tipped for £150m Sky HQ re-roofing job

  Sir Robert McAlpine is tipped to land a contract believed to be worth up to £150m to replace the failed roof at Sky’s global headquarters in Osterley, West London.
  The major remediation job will involve replacing the vast 16,000 sq m roof as Sky finally moves to resolve a problem dating back to the building’s original construction a decade ago.
