    Deal to start £1.1bn British Library extension
    Japanese developer Mitsui Fudosan has committed to go it alone and spend £1.1bn on the delayed British Library Extension project with plans to start construction next year.
    The developer will retain its former joint venture partner Stanhope as development manager for the vast project.
    Architect Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and engineer Arup drew up the plans for the site at the rear of the existing library building near St Pancras station in London.

    Transport for Wales and Network Rail will shortly submit plans for a £140m upgrade of Cardiff Central station.
    The proposed improvements will modernise the station and support long-term passenger growth, while still complementing the history and heritage of the building.

    Watchdogs at the Financial Reporting Council have opened an investigation into the auditors of collapsed contractor ISG.

    Muse has lodged plans with Solihull Council for the regeneration of Mell Square shopping centre.
    The mixed-use scheme will include an improved retail offer, new public spaces, leisure facilities and up to 1,600 homes,including a mix of build-to-rent and affordable homes to attract young professionals and families
