• Network Rail fined £3.75m after double track worker death

  Network Rail has been fined £3.75m following the death of two track maintenance workers at Margam, Wales in July 2019.
  The firm pleaded guilty to a safety offence following an investigation and prosecution by industry regulator the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).
  Network Rail employees Michael Lewis and Gareth Delbridge were working on the track when a passenger train travelling from Swansea to Paddington struck them causing fatal injuries.The train narrowly missed the a third worker.

• McLaren signs off £125m London Bank over-station job

  Joint venture developer Helical and Places for London has signed a contract with McLaren Construction to deliver the Bank over-station office project in London.

  After ten years of construction, London’s super sewer tunnel has been finally hooked up to all the original Victoria sewers.
  Engineers have completed the last of 21 connections with the new 25km Thames Tideway Tunnel.
