    Go-ahead for City of London’s tallest tower
    Plans to build the City of London’s tallest tower have received the green light.
    The 74-storey office tower known as 1 Undershaft will deliver nearly 1.7m sq ft of prime office space.
    The stepped skyscraper will top out at the same height, when benchmarked against sea level, as the Shard, soaring to the 309.6m maximum ceiling permitted by the civil aviation authority.

    Wates transfers pension scheme to “superfund”
    Wates is transferring its defined benefits pension scheme to superfund Clara.
    The move will see £210m of assets transfer to pension specialist Clara and Wates will invest another £19m into the fund which covers 1,500 current and former staff.
