Mansfield-based M&E specialist Gallant Building Services has filed a notice to appoint administrators.
Latest accounts for Gallant, which also has offices in Liverpool and London, are overdue at Companies House although last posted result for 2021 show the specialist contractor turned over around £29m.Set up 24 years ago, the firm specialises in hotel and healthcare MEP work and employed up 30 staff.
The firm is facing a winding up petition in the courts.

Strong revenue and profit growth puts Kier on firm footing

Strong revenue growth at both Kier’s construction and infrastructure divisions drove growth in profits and halved average month-end debt in the year to June 2024.
The strong performance at the contractor saw revenue recover to £4bn again, up 17% from the prior year. This uplift as margin remained stable at 3.8% powered pre-tax profit forward nearly a third to £68m.

Torsion to deliver £43m Leeds student scheme

Torsion Group and financier Zenzic Capital have secured planning consent on a £43.5m purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme on Kirkstall Road in Leeds.

Galliford Try steps-in to build £57m Banwell bypass

Galliford Try has been signed-up by North Somerset Council to build the £57m Banwell bypass after original winner Alun Griffiths Contractors Ltd walked-away from the job earlier this year.
