    Scottish contractor Hadden Construction has fallen into administration with the loss of 66 jobs.
    The Auchterarder based firm was the largest contractor in Perthshire working on jobs in the Central Belt between Glasgow and Edinburgh from Inverness & Brechin in the North, to Lesmahagow in the South.

    HS2 engineers completed the final operation to move two railway viaducts into place over the M42/M6 link roads in North Warwickshire more than six hours ahead of schedule this weekend.

    Fit-out and refurbishment specialist Morris & Spottiswood’s purchase of M&E specialist Livingstone Building Services over two years ago is starting to pay off.
    A strong contribution from M&E contractor Livingston Building Services helped to drive a 26% rise in revenue to £128m at the Glasgow headquartered group generating a similar jump in pre-tax profit to £2.8m.

    Laing O’Rourke has returned to profit a year after suffering the worst loss in its history plunging £288m into the red.
    Despite ongoing challenges and global turbulence, the country’s biggest private contractor got overheads under control to turn its fortunes around and deliver an £18m pre-tax profit.

    Design and build contractor HG Construction saw its turnover hit a record of  £424m last year after expanding into new sectors and regions.
