    Developer Landsec has gained planning approval to proceed with its next landmark office scheme in the city of London.
    Skanska is tipped to build the striking terraced 20-storey mixed-use tower which will replace Hill House, a 1970s concrete building on a site just North of Fleet Street.
    The firm beat fellow bidders Multiplex and Mace to take the project although Landsec has still to formally confirm a contract award.

    Unite Students has received resolution to grant planning for a landmark 952-bed tower at Stratford in east London and full approval for a 500-bed scheme at Freestone Island in Bristol.
    Contractor RG Group will build both of the student accommodation projects with Bristol set to proceed before the London tower.
    The Meridian Place development in Stratford will rise to 41 storeys and is expected to gain full planning in the coming months. The project is now timetable to complete in 2028.
