    49 firms win new healthcare decarbonisation deal
    Pagabo has revealed the 49 firms appointed to the first of its new £1.6bn healthcare decarbonisation frameworks which include Kier, Morgan Sindall and Willmott Dixon.
    Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is serving as the healthcare sector-specialist contracting authority for the framework, which will run for four years.

    Ardmore clinches £240m trio of building jobs at King’s Cross
    Developer Reef Group has appointed Ardmore to deliver the final phase of its Tribeca purpose-built life science campus in London’s King’s Cross Knowledge Quarter.
    The phase two award, which is estimated to be worth around £240m, involves three new buildings totalling 540,000 sq ft and featuring laboratories, homes, shops and restaurants.

    Readie Construction collapsed with debts of £34m
    Essex-based contractor Readie Construction collapsed with total debts of £34m.
    The £421m-turnover firm fell into administration in early February leaving over 440 subcontractors and suppliers out of pocket.
    According to the statement of company affairs released by administrator Begbies Traynor, subcontractors alone are owed £18.8m.Other trade creditors were left £6m out of pocket, with around 158 staff also short £1.2m in wages.

    Power giant SSE has bought back the Enerveo electrical contracting business it sold three years ago from the original buyer Aurelius Group.
    SSE sold the £257m turnover business, then known as SSE Contracting, in June 2021.
    But the investment firm found it challenging to operate rebranded Enerveo as an independent business. During this period Enervo suffered accumulated reported pre-tax losses of £37m in the two years to April 2023.
