  Employers within construction are being reminded that card checking platform Go Smart is to be turned off on March 31st 2024 and organisations should put transition plans in place to move to its replacement CSCS Smart Check as soon as possible.

• Multiplex profit almost trebles as margin hits 5.5%

  Multiplex Europe’s construction business delivered a bumper 2023 with pre-tax profit almost trebled to £31m as several complex London schemes reached practical completion.

  Police Scotland are hunting for a plant thief who made a hash of stealing a dumper truck from a construction yard in the Moray area over the weekend.
  Officers in Buckie said the raider gained entry to the yard in Marine Place in Buckie before starting up the machine.
