    Liverpool confirm further delays to Anfield stand
    Liverpool FC has confirmed its new £60m Anfield stand will not fully open until next year at the earliest.
    The club took control of the project last month following the collapse of main contractor Buckingham Group.
    Rayner Rowen Construction was appointed to complete the job which was originally due for completion by the start of this season to increase capacity by 7,000 to 61,000.Rayner has been on site since early September working with around 80% of the original Buckingham supply chain.

    Construction output fell 0.5% in volume terms in August in a second consecutive monthly fall.
    With the wider UK economy bumping along at 0.2% growth, construction has now become a drag on growth rather than a driver.
