    Winners named on £8bn Procure Partnerships deal
    Procure Partnerships Framework has appointed 87 contractors to its second-generation national framework.
    Thirty five contractors were reappointed on the next iteration of the mega framework, structured across nine sub-regional lots covering 5 value bands starting at 50K and going up to over £50m.
    The refreshed framework covers Construction and three new areas: Decarbonisation and Retrofit, Demolition and Site Preparation, and Infrastructure.

    Failure of three ‘non-critical’ RAAC beams forced safety rethink
    The education secretary has revealed that the sudden failure over the summer of three RAAC concrete planks previously classified as non-critical prompted the decision to close over 100 schools.
    In a statement to Parliament Gillian Keegan said surveyors discovered the non-critical RAAC failures during a programme of assessments started last September.

    A Cumbrian contractor has been fined after a man broke every bone in his face falling 10m through the roof of an industrial unit.
    Craig Dickson, 39, from Carlisle, suffered multiple serious fractures, in the incident on Heathlands Industrial Estate, Kingmoor Park, Carlisle, on 25 March 2022.
