• Speedy to launch hydrogen-fuelled generator hirer

  National hirer Speedy plans to launch a dedicated hydrogen-powered generator plant hire business to make off-grid electricity accessible to all contractors.
  The hirer has struck a deal with hydrogen-powered generator expert AFC Energy to form a JV business that will provide a full-service hire model coordinating the generator equipment,  maintenance, technical support, site preparation and fueling.

• Green light for £60m science building revamp

  The next £60m phase of Manchester Science Park has been given the green light by planners.
  Bruntwood SciTech – a 50/50 joint venture between Bruntwood and Legal & General – will deliver a redevelopment of the Park’s existing Greenheys building to provide 131,000 sq ft of specialist lab space.

• Firms put on alert for £1.6bn of decarbonisation frameworks

  Procurement body Pagabo has readied firms for two new decarbonisation projects frameworks set to come out to tender in September.Both frameworks will be valued at £1.6bn and run for four years and each will have its own contracting authority.One framework will be dedicated for healthcare schemes, with Great Ormond Street Hospital serving as a sector-specialist host.The second framework will be hosted by Hull City Council and be open to all other sectors.
