• Tendering starts for Colchester £100m link road

  Essex County Council’s cabinet has given the green light to tender for a contractor to build a new link road between Colchester and Tendring.
  The A120-A133 Link Road will see the creation of a new dual carriageway between the A120 and A133 to the east of Colchester and unlock land for 7,500 homes to be developed.

• Domis gets go-ahead for 26-storey Salford flats plan

  Salford planners have given the green light for a 26-storey flats scheme, known as Obsidian, being developed by Salboy and its construction arm Domis.
  The £50m-plus building project will deliver 250 flats and around 1,000 sq ft of commercial space at the Trinity Way and Willam Street site.

  Veteran house builder Jolyon Harrison has been appointed as CEO at cash-strapped Inland Homes in a bid to turn the business around.

• Green light for British Land London multi-storey logistic hub

  British Land has got the planning green light to build a 455,000 sq ft multi-level logistics hub in Enfield, North London.
  The Heritage House site, near Junction 25 of the M25, will see construction of a main 435,000 sq ft building to be split into two levels.
  In line with British Land’s sustainability strategy, the scheme will be rated BREEAM Excellent, with an EPC A rating.

• Network Plus to hire over 300 staff after major cable laying win
