• Safety alert over angle grinder toothed saw blade attachments

  The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a safety alert for an angle grinder saw attachment which could cause serious injury or even death.
  The toothed saw blade attachment is not designed to be used with an angle grinder. It could result in ‘kickback’ when the blade snags or strikes an object during operation causing the tool to be suddenly forced back towards the operator.

• Industry leaders call for more construction immigration

  The Construction Leadership Council (CLC)is calling on the government to relax immigration rules for building workers.

  The Ministry of Justice has named its line-up of contractors for its expanded construction framework with eight firms winning the major project lot.
