• Glencar lands starring role on £25m Ealing Studios revamp

    Glencar has today announced that it has been appointed to undertake the redevelopment of the iconic Ealing Studios in West London.
    The firm will work alongside Pella Real Estate Partners and Christopher Smith Associates to deliver the £25m project, which will add around 50,000 sq ft of space
    Works will include the installation of a new 14,000 sq ft stage , which will take 18 months to build, as well as new workshops, additional office space, a new entrance reception, security, and site hub
  • Dozen firms win £1.3bn highways pavement framework

    National Highways has named the 12 firms it will use to deliver £1.3bn-worth of contracts to maintain road surfaces on motorways and major A-roads in England.

  • McLaughlin & Harvey to start £200m Glasgow spec office

    Developer CEG has picked McLaughlin & Harvey to start construction works for a landmark 300,000 sq ft office scheme in Glasgow.
    The firm bought the 33 Cadogan Street scheme known then as the Grid with planning.
    Now it has secured equity funding from Swedish State Pension Funds to progress the project, which has been designed by architect Cooper Cromar.The construction project, which will be completed in 2024, is understood to be worth more than £50m.

  • Wall of bubbles protects salmon on John F Hunt dock revamp

    John F Hunt Regeneration is using a marine Bubble Curtain for the first time in Europe to protect migrating salmon near its £20m job to revamp a former dockland in South Shields.

  • Lendlease wins Liverpool iconic Martins Bank restoration

    Lendlease has secured the job to refurbish and restore the Grade II-listed Martins Bank Building in Liverpool.
    Developer Kinrise and majority co-owner Karrev gained planning last month to bring back to life what is one of the city’s most prominent buildings.
    Once work is completed by 2024, the historic Grade II* listed building will house 140,000 sq ft of offices, restaurant and social space located within the spectacular former banking hall.

    Urban regeneration specialist Be First is seeking six firms for a £1.1bn contractor framework delivering up to 3,500 new homes over the next four years.
