    The City of London Corporation has approved plans to relocate the capital’s historic meat and fish wholesale markets to a new purpose-built site in Dagenham Dock.

    Construction activity in Leeds city centre has soared to its highest level since 2007, according to a city tower crane count.
    Planning consultant DPP carried out a visual survey across the city that revealed there are 30 active tower cranes operating within the city centre.

    A Wakefield roofing company has been fined and its sole director given a suspended prison sentence after a father-of-two was killed when he fell 12 metres through a skylight.

  • Russell WBHO bags £30m supercomputer centre

    Manchester main contractor Russell WBHO has landed the  contract to deliver a new £30m supercomputing centre at Daresbury Laboratory in the Liverpool city region.
    Russell WBHO is preparing to start work at the 6.2-acre site before the end of the year for the UK’s Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the project will take 21 months to complete.
