• Bogus building firm shut down after materials credit scam

    A fraudulent construction firm has been shut down after conning building materials suppliers in a credit scam.
    Nobleread Ltd has been wound up by the High Court and the Official Receiver has been appointed Liquidator of the company.

    M&E contractor Imtech has signed a deal to buy rival Spie UK for £43m.
    The move will see around 1,800 Spie employees get new bosses by the end of this year.

    Developer Riverlow Group has submitted plans for the £52m phase two of its Queensgate Square scheme in Birmingham.

    A contractor has been fined £600,000 and its director ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and fined £4,200 following serious and repeated failings in managing the risk of fire during work at a site.
