• Balfour lands £297m East Sussex highways deal

    Balfour Beatty Living Places has been awarded a new £297m contract by East Sussex County Council for highways maintenance and infrastructure services.
    There is an option to extend the seven-year contract by a further seven years worth up to a total value of £730m.

  • Guinness Partnerships seeks firms for £160m recladding deal

    Social housing landlord The Guinness Partnership is on the hunt for firms to deliver a programme of essential building safety improvements across England covering recladding, facades and balconies.
    Up to six firms will be selected to deliver the external wall systems framework, which has been valued at around £160m over four years.

    House builder Bellway set aside another £346.2m in its latest results for post-Grenfell cladding and safety improvements bringing its total bill to £513.7m.
    The firm has set up a new Building Safety Division to oversee remediation of legacy schemes.

  • Willmott Dixon seals £31m London affordable housing deal

    Willmott Dixon’s housing workload in London is in the rise after the London Borough of Brent signed a deal to build 55 affordable homes as well as two community centres.

  • VolkerFitzpatrick wins £81m M27 Junction 10 upgrade

    Hampshire County Council has picked VolkerFitzpatrick to design and build an £81m upgrade to junction 10 on the M27 in Hampshire to pave the way for the planned 6,000-home Welborne Garden Village development.
    The upgrade involves the provision of a new motorway underpass to the west of the existing M27 Junction 10, three new slip roads to facilitate an ‘all moves’ arrangement and the construction of a new dual carriageway to link the new slip roads to the existing road network.
