    Staff at London studio Atomik Architecture are holding a strike ballot following a long-running pay dispute.

  • Winvic tops £1bn revenue as orders surge 25%

    Shed and multi-room building contractor Winvic broke through the £1bn turnover mark last year on the back of booming orders.
    Revenue flew as the firm completed 28 projects and secured 46 new projects, soaring 56% to £1.03bn.

  • Go-ahead for revamp of former Weetabix factory site

    The construction of a new speculative 160,800 sq ft industrial warehouse on the site of the former Weetabix factory on the Earlstrees Industrial Estate in Corby has been given the green light by councilors.
    Copley Point Capital – on behalf of its Block Industrial program and Pembury Real Estate Ltd – submitted a planning application to North Northamptonshire Council earlier this year having purchased the eight-acre site on one of the town’s prime industrial parks.

    The latest liquidator’s report has revealed the scale of supply chain debts at failed Somerset based contractor Henry W Pollard and Sons Ltd.
    The regional contractor went under last summer after 161 years in business.

    Mace is on board to deliver a major revamp of a 1990s office building in the City of London.
    The firm is working on the project, which has just gone in for planning, under a pre-construction services agreement.
