• Tilbury Douglas names Yorkshire and north east boss

    Tilbury Douglas has named Paul Ellenor as new regional director for Yorkshire and the North East.
    Ellenor has been promoted extending his leadership role in Yorkshire to also encompass the north east region
    He started his career with the business 35 years ago as an apprentice and has worked his way up to leadership roles, with the majority of that time spent in the North East.

    Private investor Rcapital has completed the acquisition of Avonside Energy Limited saving 100 jobs.
    Avonside Energy is a standalone division of roofing specialist Avonside Group which went into administration last week.

  • Assembly work to restart next week on HS2 green tunnel

    Assembly work on giant precast concrete segments for a new HS2 “green tunnel” in Northamptonshire is set to restart next week.
    Work was halted last month when quality issues were found in the first batch of 5,020 segments manufactured by Stanton Precast in Ilkeston Derbyshire for main contractor EKFB – a team made up of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.

  • Plan for 250,000 sq ft York mixed-use scheme

    Local York developer Helmsley Group has revealed its plans for a 200,000 mixed-use regeneration project in the heart of the city.
    Proposals for the Coney Street Riverside scheme include the creation of 250,000 sq ft of mixed-use retail, leisure, commercial, and residential space and a riverside walkway.
    The developer aims to repurpose previously underutilised vacant upper floors for residential and commercial use, and new build elements providing additional student accommodation.

    Developer Ediston Real Estate has submitted plans for the redevelopment of Shawlands Arcade in Glasgow.
    The proposed development from the owners of Shawlands Arcade in the Southside will feature a mixture of ground floor shops with 330 new homes above.
