• £400m London ITV HQ rebuild called in for public inquiry

    Controversial plans to build a major new office and culture complex at the former ITV Studio site on London’s South Bank have been called in for public inquiry.
    The landmark redevelopment of 72 Upper Ground is being planned by Mitsubishi Estate and London development manager CO—RE, which said it regretted the move would delay the scheme.

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson has backed the planned nuclear power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk confirming investment of £700m.

  • Ringway Jacobs trials graphene additive on Essex roads

    Ringway Jacobs and Eurovia are trialling the use of graphene on a road resurfacing job for Essex County Council in Chelmsford.
    They are using Italian developed technology called Gipave which adds graphene to hot rolled asphalt (HRA) at Eurovia’s east London manufacturing facility.

    Fast-growing shed specialist Glencar Construction has poached ISG divisional operations director Mark Green.
    Green has left ISG after more than 21 years at the business, initially starting out at ISG Pearce as operations manager and latterly divisional director based in Bristol, where he was also special account manager for client Tesco.
    Green has joined as new operations director at the Midlands office of the St Albans headquartered Glencar Construction.
