• Blaze at Deptford flats rages all day

  Twenty fire engines and around 120 firefighters were needed to control a fire on the roof of a block of flats on Creek Road in Deptford, south London yesterday.
  Around 13 people fled the building before the Brigade arrived. There have been no reports of any injuries.

• £350m London Aldgate landmark office approved

  Developer Rocket Properties has got the planning green light to build a £350m office scheme on the eastern city fringe in London.
