  Jackson Civil Engineering has won the first £6.4m deal at Gateway 14 in Stowmarket, Suffolk for site infrastructure work.

  Steelwork contractor Billington just broke even last year after taking a hit on a project where a client went bust and  margins eroded in the face of sudden steel price hikes.

• Taylor Woodrow tipped for £800m Fawley expansion
