    Cash-strapped Roadbridge stops work on HS2
    Civils contractor Roadbridge has suddenly stopped work on HS2 as the company faces a cash-flow crisis.
    The Enquirer understands that hundreds of civils operatives were sent home from HS2 sites on Thursday and Roadbridge’s vast plant fleet is being packed-up.

    Another year of losses at Balfour Beatty’s UK construction arm dampened the recovery in group profits.

    A contractors has been fined £36,000 after two bricklayers fell from height during the construction of a parapet wall.

    Changes to the original design of a drainage system built by failed contractor Carillion have been blamed for the 2020 Stonehaven rail crash which killed three people.
    A Rail Accident Investigation Branch report said the train derailed and hit a bridge parapet after it struck debris that had been washed out of a drainage trench.
