  Skanska has secured a £235m contract to build a pioneering green office scheme in London’s Victoria area.
  Client Welput, the specialist London office fund managed by BentallGreenOak, is behind the 470,000 sq ft speculative mixed-use commercial building which will also contain ground floor retail.

• Glencar checks-out with £12m Ikea fit-out package

  St Albans industrial and logistics contractor Glencar has bagged a £12m fit-out project for Ikea’s new Dartford distribution centre.
  The project will see Glencar ‘s new special projects division undertake extensive racking, sprinkler and office fit-out works within the Swedish retail giant’s new distribution centre built next to the former Littlebrook Power Station site.

  Galliford Try tipped back into the red during the first half of the year due to £9.7m of exceptional costs, mainly from its acquisition of Nmcn’s water business for £1m last October.

• May start date for Morgan Sindall at Gloucester campus

  Morgan Sindall will start construction work in May on the University of Gloucestershire’s scheme to turn the former Debenhams building in the city into a new teaching campus.
