    John Sisk & Son has bought Kent-based electrical services specialist Fuse Rail to support its existing rail operation.
    Fuse Rail, which employs around 40 staff, will continue to operate under its current branding and management team.

    HS2 contractor Align has rolled out the first enormous pre-cast bridge segment for Colne Valley viaduct, set to be the UK longest railway bridge in the UK.
    The huge deck segments each weighing up to 140 tonnes are being made at a mammoth 100m long factory building that is bigger in internal volume than the Royal Albert Hall.The construction team, which includes VSL, Danny Sullivan, Sendin and Tarmac, will cast and install a total of 1,000 concrete segments, each the size of a double-decker bus.

    House builder Redrow is setting aside an extra £10m to meet Government demands for developers to fund the replacement of unsafe cladding on buildings of 11m and above.

    Fatal gas main blast leads to £5m fine
    Northern Gas Networks Ltd has been fined £5m after a fire and gas explosion at residential premises in West Yorkshire resulted in the death of the homeowner.
    Leeds Crown Court heard that, on 11 February 2019, West Yorkshire Fire service were called to a fire and explosion in Mirfield.

    Flintshire County Council is on the hunt for a contractor to carry out a major overhaul and expansion of Theatr Clwyd in Mold.
