  RUSH: Private sector union membership is plummeting, and the reasons for it basically are rooted in prosperity and freedom.  If you work for a union, you're giving up -- I mean, this is just the way it is.  If you work for a union you're giving up your individuality.  What you get paid is negotiated for you, and you're lumped into a group and you get paid whatever everybody else gets paid, whatever union you're in.

  RUSH: Jefferson was really concerned about making sure that this freedom and liberty maintained even to the point of throwing the government over now and then if necessary.  He called it the tree of liberty.  Sometimes blood has to be shed.  The point is Jefferson thought about all this a lot, and he said, among other things, God, who gave us life, gave us liberty.

The concept of rights, we lost that I don't know how long ago.  In a strict definition of the word sense we lost that argument.  If you want it in America, you think you have a right to it.  If you really want to have fun, grab your average low-information American and start talking about the origin of rights, what they are, and where they come from, and you will be so depressed that you'll wonder how we've made it this far.

  RUSH: It's started happening now.  Illegals are being registered to vote.  It's happening at lightning speed.  It is happening under the radar, although now the light of attention has finally found it.  But it is happening much sooner than anybody thought... Of all the things happening out there today -- and there are many of them -- this is right at the top of the list that makes me want to put us at DEFCON 5.  To me, this is dangerous.
